Q: How do I setup the modem connection between DVR server and a client?
A: Refer back to manual in the CD. It's in the DVR Net manual Appendix. For both Win 98SE and Win 2000Pro/XP must create dial-up server in order to log on from client side.
Q: I'm getting “Failed connection. Check Host Network” message when I try to log onto DVR server. Also, I can hear the dial tone going out from my client computer.
A: If you followed instructions from the manual and still getting same message, you may want to check your DVR system modem or client computer modem.
Q: How do I input the telephone numbers in the DVR Net setup?

Q: Which port do I need to open up the firewall?
A: 3000TCP (video); 8800UDP (sound); 3001TCP (P/T); 3005UDP (event); 3003TCP (changing setup from remote site)
Q: Can I connect from LAN/xDSL to Dial-up Server?

A: We have both software or web version.
Q: DVR recording resolution.
A: 320x240 or 640x480
Q: Can you do multiple views from a remote site?
A: Yes, you can do multiple views up to 16 locations (view total 256 cameras)
Q: What is the difference between Capture board and Live board?
A: Capture board is to display and record. Live board is to display camera in real time. Display will be 30FPS per channel.
Q: How do I copy a data to CD burner?
A: Use burning software to pre-format the CD-R or first convert the data to AVI and use burning software.
Q: Is there way to view backup data from other than DVR Server?
A: Install Remote Backup Viewer from DVR CD to other PC.
Q: I'm getting “Not enough disk space” message when I was doing Auto-backup?
A: Either your disk space is full or there is error with blank CD-R/DVD-R.
Q: I created a new user but I'm getting same access as administrator?
A: Make sure you are log into Search Menu and Setup Menu with new user ID and Password.
Q: What are the Pin numbers and names for RS-422?
A: -TXDATA: Pin No.1 +TXDATA: Pin No.2
Q: Can I view split screens to TV with DVR capture board?
A: NO. TV will show auto channeling for each camera. To view with split screens, must have Live Video Board. If you don't want to auto channeling and view only one channel to TV, hide other cameras from CCTV monitoring. (Go to Camera Setting)
